FC Halifax Town: Bosomworth issues rallying call to fans ahead of Trophy tie

Town chairman David Bosomworth is calling for the club's fans to turn out in force for their FA Trophy tie at home to Barrow tonight (Tuesday).

The game was postponed on Saturday due to a frozen pitch and will now take place tonight (7.45pm), with a tie at home to Chester awaiting the winners.

Bosomworth said: “It’d be great to have a long run in the FA Trophy.

“We’re in a superb run of form at the moment so we’re confident we can progress.

“We potentially have two home games in a row in the competition now and we need as many supporters to come down and get behind the team as possible.

“We’ve reduced admission prices for the Barrow game and we hope as many fans as possible take advantage of that.

“It would be fantastic if we can get past Barrow and then Chester at home, which would leave us just two more steps away from Wembley.

“We have no reason to fear anyone in the competition but we’ll have an even better chance of progressing the more supporters we have at The Shay.”
