FC Halifax Town: Frickley preview

FC Halifax Town aim to maintain their 100 per cent record in pre-season when they travel to Frickley on Saturday (3pm).

Town have so far beaten Brighouse 8-1 and Mossley 4-0 and now play the Evo-Stik Premier Division side, who have already beaten Barnsley in their sole friendly to date.

The two clubs were in the same division back in the 2010-11 season, with Halifax drawing 0-0 at Frickley before beating them 3-1 in the return game at The Shay in what was their 30th league win of that campaign, with goals from Lee Gregory, Danny Holland and Tom Baker.

Defenders Matty Brown and Kevin Roberts will both miss the match due to ankle and calf injuries respectively.

Brown is expected to be out for about eight weeks, while Roberts could return for Halifax’s game at home to Sheffield United next Tuesday (7.45pm).
