FC Halifax Town: Harvey remains hopeful of extending Wroe's stay

Town boss Jim Harvey is still hopeful of extending midfielder Nicky Wroe's stay before the Barrow game this Saturday, with the Town captain's loan expiring after the win at Macclesfield last weekend.

Wroe has scored three goals in 16 appearances since signing on loan from Notts County, who recently appointed Jamie Fullarton as their new manager, and Harvey is keen to keep hold of the Halifax skipper.

He said: “We are looking to extend it. We’re still in negotiations with Notts County and their new manager.

“He’s come in and had a look at everyone but we’re hopeful we will get him back, and hopefully before the Barrow game.

“He’s settled in really well here and I think it would suit both parties.

“He can put himself in the shop window as he wasn’t getting games there.

“He’s played really well for us, just like all the boys have so you don’t want to disrupt that at the moment.”
