FC Halifax Town: No offers for Burrow, says Heath

Town boss Billy Heath says the club have not received any offers for striker Jordan Burrow amid speculation linking him with a move to Gateshead.

Former Halifax manager Neil Aspin, who signed Burrow from Lincoln in 2015, is in the hunt for a new forward at Gateshead, and it has been suggested Burrow could be a target.

Gateshead have been looking for a striker since Ryan Bowman left to join Motherwell at the end of the transfer window, and made an enquiry for an unnamed player, believed to be Burrow.

But the valuation Gateshead received is believed to have been too high.

But Heath insists no approaches have been made for Burrow, who was Halifax’s top-scorer last season but has started only twice this season and is yet to score.

When asked if Town had received any offers for Burrow, Heath said: “No, not at the minute.

“He wasn’t in the squad on Saturday but that’s just because we kept Matty Kosylo in the squad to give us a bit more balance.

“Jordan’s attitude and the way he is is fantastic. He’s been absolutely brilliant.

“He still keeps working hard in training, keeps doing everything right.

“He’s still a part of the squad.

“If we get offers for players then that’s something we’ll decide upon it.”
