FC Halifax Town: Pitch inspection planned for tomorrow at The Shay ahead of Dover game
There will be a pitch inspection at The Shay tomorrow (Friday) at 10am ahead of the National League game with Dover.
Sub-zero temperatures are forecast in Halifax between now and kick-off on Saturday, leaving the prospect of the match going ahead in doubt.
Even if the weather doesn’t intervene, Dover may not agree to play after their chairman Jim Parmenter said on Tuesday that “unless the situation changes in the next couple of days, I will have no option but to furlough all staff, cut all possible expenditure and cease football operations”.
