FC Halifax Town: Pitch inspection at The Shay ahead of Southport game

There will be a pitch inspection at The Shay at 1.30pm today (Tuesday) ahead of FC Halifax Town’s scheduled FA Trophy tie against Southport.

If the pitch inspection is passed then Town will wait for the match referee to arrive later in the day. The match referee will then inspect the pitch again, in line with matchday protocols.

If at this point the match referee calls the game off, the game will be played tomorrow night (Wednesday) at Haig Avenue with a 7pm kick off.

If at 1.30pm today (Tuesday) the referee deems the pitch unplayable, it will be played tonight at Haig Avenue with the same kick off time of 7pm.

The match was originally due to take place on Saturday, but was called off due to a frozen pitch at The Shay.
