FC Halifax Town: Shaymen announce additions to backroom team

FC Halifax Town have announced changes to their backroom team ahead of the new National League season.

Goalkeeping coach Joe Stead has left the club to work for Leeds United, while physio Nick Taylor has also left, meaning Aaron Scholes will now take on the role full-time after sharing it last season.

In place of Stead is Paul Oakes, who runs his own goalkeeping academy in Oldham.

Joe Sargison has joined the club as first-team coach. He has previously worked for Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest in their academies and was the assistant manager of Swedish side Ostersunds FK.

Adam Simpson, who also works with the Bradford Bulls, is the club’s strength and conditioning coach.
