Heath was tight-lipped about what positions he is looking to strengthen, but The Shaymen are set to be stretched defensively for the game, with Nathan Hotte suspended and Danny Hone ruled out injured.

Heath said: “We may have one or two more players coming in for the weekend.

“They could be permanent or on loan.

“We have a number of irons in the fire.”

Heath is relaxed about the future of Lincoln loan signing Alex Simmons, whose three-month stay at Halifax is set to expire next month.

He added: “He’s still got another month left with us.

“I’m speaking with (Lincoln boss) Danny Cowley regularly about Alex’s progress.”
