The 24-year-old forward has made more than 100 senior appearances and started his career at West Brom but failed to make a first-team appearance for the club.

His first taste of senior football came in a loan spell at Kidderminster in the National League at the start of the 2015-16 season, with his first goal coming during a loan spell at Yeovil in League Two later that campaign.

Campbell scored once on loan at Solihull in the National League during the first two months of the 2017-18 season.

He then joined Forest Green on loan in League Two for the second-half of that season, scoring twice.

Campbell was released by West Brom at the end of the 2017-18 season, and joined Forest Green on a permanent basis, netting five times in 24 appearances in League Two.

After leaving Forest Green that summer, Campbell joined League Two side Cheltenham but failed to score in 14 appearances during the 2019-20 season.

Campbell spent time on loan at National League North club Gloucester earlier this campaign, scoring five goals in eight matches, and has made just one first-team appearance for Cheltenham this season, as a substitute in their FA Cup win over Mansfield on January 10.

Campbell has already played in this season’s FA Trophy for Gloucester, so won’t be involved in Town’s FA Trophy clash with Southport, which is due to be played tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
