The 23-year-old forward has scored one goal in three appearances for Accrington this season, marking his debut in the Football League Trophy at Barrow with the winning goal after just four minutes only four days after joining the club.

He has also featured in the club’s 3-0 League One victory at Swindon and their 3-2 win at home to Manchester United under 23s in the Football League Trophy.

Mansell was born in Burnley and started his career with Blackburn Rovers, from where had loan spells with FC United of Manchester and Partick in the Scottish Championship, before joining the latter on a permanent basis in May 2019.

Mansell scored three goals during his time in Scotland, including a goal in the club’s 2-1 defeat to Raith Rovers in the Scottish Challenge Cup semi-final.

Mansell could make his Town debut in their clash at King’s Lynn on Saturday.
