Town players and management will be recording virtual messages for NHS staff and the FC Halifax Town Foundation have partnered the NHS Trust of Calderdale to support the Great Gift Appeal.

Halifax have created an Amazon Wish List, which contains toys and gifts carefully selected by the NHS team of Play Therapists to ensure the NHS Trust of Calderdale have sufficient gifts to give during Christmas.

The club is inviting fans, local businesses, and other community organisations to get involved in the appeal. Selecting or making a donation through their Amazon Wish list is easy, and once you place your orders the items will be delivered directly to the hospital.

Town manager Pete Wild said: “This is a great initiative that our Football Club and Foundation are supporting.

“We would be incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity of our fans, local businesses, or other community organisations in donating gifts for this year’s appeal.

“This year has been particularly challenging for many and by donating a gift to those who find themselves in hospital may help to make their Christmas a little more special.”
