FC Halifax Town v Dorking Wanderers LIVE
Chris Millington's programme notes
“Teamwork and backroom staff are two strengths of this current Shaymen cohort. We are privileged to have gathered a hard working group of players who will continue to develop and get better over the next couple of seasons.”
Chairman’s programme notes
“Given the incredibly warm conditions for that fixture versus Southend, being a goal down and then having a player sent-off, to fight back to score a goal and secure a point was great credit to the players.”
Chairman’s programme notes
“The sending-off of Luke Summerfield was quite a surreal event and apparently went viral and created a stir within the national press. So many people seeing the incident were stunned by the outcome, none more so than the player himself.”
Thoughts
Town really could do with a win today heading into back-to-back away games at Barnet and Chesterfield - the two best teams in the league this season. Dorking will be no pushovers, on paper it looks like a decent chance of getting a win but they should have won at Oldham last time out and have a striker in form in experienced Jason Prior. They do play quite an open brand of football though so, as they did at Dorking last season, Town will feel they can pick them off high up the pitch and will play to that endeavour I would imagine. Would certainly be nice to see a more forward thinking performance from Town after looking more like the away side against Southend last week.
