Definitely can’t begrudge Pontefract a second crack at The Shaymen, I thought they were really good on Saturday, worked very hard, well organised, disciplined, defended well and looked a threat going forward. But having said all that, Halifax have to strong favourites to go through, taking into account their greater quality, home advantage and better fitness levels. No guarantees though.
Town team
Be interesting to see if PW makes any changes tonight. Wouldn’t be surprised if there are, and wouldn’t be surprised if we see Elliot Newby in from the start after some impressive cameos off the bench.
