The Cards are without a win on the road in their last eight matches, having last won away when they beat Maidenhead 3-2 on November 23.

Woking are 11th in the National League, just two points off the play-off places with a game in hand over the teams in ninth, eighth and seventh.

Striker Jake Hyde is their top-scorer with 15 goals in 30 league games. He netted in Woking’s last game, a 2-0 home win over Maidenhead, which was their first win in five matches.

Former England international Matt Jarvis netted the other after coming off the bench to make his debut for the club, in what was his first game since playing for Walsall at Burton in March 2019.

Jarvis is a former Wolves, West Ham and Norwich winger who earned his sole England cap as a substitute against Ghana at Wembley Stadium on 29 March, 2011, coming on for Jack Wilshere in the 70th minute of a 1–1 draw.

Godfrey Poku is expected to be Woking’s only absentee due to a groin injury.

Only Harrogate and Barrow have won more National League games than Halifax, who are third in the table and have a game in hand over the two sides above them and the two below them.

However, Boreham Wood and Yeovil could both overtake Pete Wild’s men if they better Halifax’s result.

The Shaymen have won more games than any other National League side over their last five matches, and have not been beaten at home in the league since losing to Notts County on December 21.

Town drew 0-0 with Woking in the reverse fixture on November 16, while Woking’s last visit to The Shay, in November 2017, also finished 0-0.
