The Shaymen were well below-par as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at The Shay on August 29 thanks to Jack Emmett’s goal.

But Heath feels Halifax are in a much stronger position to take on Harrogate than they were a few weeks ago.

“We were stretched as a squad but it wasn’t a particularly great game.

“One goal decided it but I don’t think either team was great on the day.

“But we are a different entity now and there’s more shape and more balance to the team.

“We’re closer to playing the way I want us to, we’re looking a lot more solid.

“It will be a tough game but we are in a better position as a team than we were over the Bank Holiday.

“We were down to the bare bones for that game and we had a lot of players carrying knocks who had played a lot of games in a short space of time.”
