There has been speculation that Rodney could be recalled by parent club Salford before being sold to Town's National League rivals Stockport County, with whom he was on loan with earlier this season.

But Wild said: "In my eyes, there's nothing in it.

"The only way that Devante Rodney can move is if he wants to leave Halifax, and he tells me he's very happy here.

"So there's nothing in it in my eyes.

"I've had no contact from Salford and no contact from Stockport for that matter."

When asked if he could be adding to his squad soon, Wild said: "My plan is still to get to the end of February and see where we are.

"Every day I'm talking to agents and clubs about who's on offer. We've got a list so we've just got to narrow that down to who fits what we want."
