Just one place and one point separates the sides, although the seventh-placed Spireites have a game in hand.

Manager James Rowe has turned Chesterfield from relegation fodder to promotion contenders since his appointment in November, although they come into the game on the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Bromley on Saturday and without influential duo Akwasi Asante and Haydn Hollis, both of whom are out for the season.

The Shaymen beat King’s Lynn 4-2 on Saturday to get their play-off push back on track following the 4-0 home defeat to Wrexham.

“A war,” said Wild when asked what he is expecting from the game. “They go toe-to-toe with you, they’re strong, they’re aggressive, they can play. A bit like us really.

“I’m expecting it to be absolute fireworks on Tuesday night in terms of the pace of the game, the physicality of the game and the intensity of the game. I think it’s going to be massive.”

Wild doesn’t think Chesterfield’s defeat last time out will have much bearing on the match, adding: “We were down on our luck on Tuesday and back up on Saturday, I’m sure they’ll be ready to go Tuesday night for what is going to be a great game.”
