The past few days have seen the departures of forwards Gevaro Nepomuceno and Nyal Bell, leaving Town light on numbers in attack.

With Jake Hyde still recovering from injury, forward Jamie Allen looks set to make a welcome return to the squad for Saturday’s game, joining on loan Billy Chadwick as Wild’s only front-line options.

“We’re looking good, we’re getting players back fit as quickly as we can,” Wild said.

“We’re looking to add to the squad this week if we can, hopefully one if not two with a bit of luck.

“We’re hoping to have Jamie Allen back in the squad, maybe not ready to start, which is pleasing.”

Wild was tight-lipped about what position the player would be, although he admitted he knows the squad needs an extra striker, but did say it would be a loan rather than a permanent deal.
