Halifax travel to bottom side Barnet on Tuesday night before hosting second-from-bottom Dover on Saturday as they return to action after 10 days without a game.

“We’re excited, we also know Barnet haven’t been on the greatest of runs, which is obviously a potential banana skin and something I’ve been trying to get across to the players, about professionalism,” said Wild, who hopes to have Jake Hyde, Danny Williams and Reuben Noble-Lazarus in contention for the visit to Barnet.

“I think this is our toughest week of the season because of these two games, and complacency is our worst enemy.

“We’ve got to make sure that we play better than we’ve played all season in these two games to avoid any problem results.”

When asked how he will go about trying to ensure complacency doesn’t set in, Wild said: “Reinforcing the message, making sure training’s lively, making sure they’re fully prepared in terms of what to expect and making sure we pick the side we think is most capable of beating Barnet.”

On his side’s break from action last week, Wild said: “We’ve had that hit if five games and then a little break to refresh the legs, and now we go for Tuesday-Saturday, so we need to make sure we hit the ground running again in these little runs of games and that we put wins together and consistency together.”

And on midfielder Luke Summerfield’s recovery from injury, Wild said: “He had a meeting with the surgeon on Friday and he was happy with the structure of his knee, it looks strong.

“He’s now got to repair the tear. We’re hoping he ca really push on with his rehab now and hopefully within the next ten weeks, be back out playing.”
