Neil Aspin says his team’s season is not being made any easier after another fixture was frozen off.
The Shaymen’s trip to Oxford was postponed following a pitch inspection earlier today, leaving one more game to be rearranged into the club’s already packed end to the season, which has already seen their sequence of consecutive midweek matches stretch into April.
The Town boss says the prospect of a weeknight trek to Oxford is hardly ideal.
He said: “It means our task gets tougher because it’s not just the fixture congestion but we’ve now got to get to Oxford for a midweek game, so it’s worse than usual when you get a game down there called off.
“It makes things difficult when you have lads who are working. That also means team selection could be affected by who will be available, but at the end of the day there’s not much we can do about it.”
