Neil Aspin believes that signings Gareth Seddon and Dan Gardner can both play at a higher level - and hopes they will achieve that ambition with the Shaymen,
The club confirmed the signing of former Fleetwood striker Seddon and Drolysden youngster Gardner last week.
Seddon, 32, arrives having helped the Cod Army into the football league for the first time in their history last season.
His record of 117 goals in 213 games over the last six years at Conference North and Conference National level has already raised the level of excitement amongst fans.
Aspin said: “Gareth Seddon is an establish player with a great pedigree in non-league football he has always scored goals, has a good attitude, leads the line well and he’s been successful.
“He wants to win and he’s come to us because he wants to do well. We want to raise our level and signing Gareth will help us to do that because he’s a really good player and we’re delighted to sign him.
“He’s obviously a big signing for us and if we can get the ball into the right areas he will score goals.”
Aspin said that midfielder Gardner, who played for Glasgow Celtic’s youth academy, could also drive the club towards promotion.
“Dan Gardner has the ability to play higher than this level. It’s up to us to get the best out of Dan and for Dan himself to really push himself forward because if he can do then then he can play at a higher level.
“We can provide the platform for him and it’s up to the lad to use his ability to really push on.
“He’s got talent, he can score goals go past players and I’m expecting him to do well.”
