FC Halifax Town came from behind to record a 3-1 win at Scott McManus’ Coalville Town in their penultimate pre-season friendly before the start of the 2018-19 campaign.
Coalville took an early lead when Ryan Sellers’ pass was cut out by Coalville’s Tolani Omotola, who fired past Town keeper Shaun Rowley one-on-one.
The Shaymen equalised around 10 minutes later through when Dayle Southwell’s cross was headed in by a Town trialist.
Sellers then set-up Southwell 10 minutes after the re-start, and the striker put Halifax in-front as he cut inside and fired low into the corner.
Rowley made a fine save to keep Coalville out just after the hour mark before Southwell twice went close to adding to his tally.
Substitute Matty Kosylo added Town’s third from Ben Tomlinson’s cross in the dying minutes.
