Richard Hill stood down as manager on December 18 to concentrate on his role as director of football, with his assistant Andy Hessenthaler taking charge.

Hessenthaler was unbeaten in his first seven games, winning five, but they lost 3-1 at Maidenhead on Tuesday night.

They have not kept a clean sheet for 28 games, since September 9, and have conceded 13 in their last five matches.

Halifax, who are the lowest scorers on the road in the division, have won only once in their last 12 away games and have won only three of their 17 away league games.
