FC Halifax Town are hoping the Shay pitch will be playable for their FA Trophy third round tie against Chester, which is scheduled for Wednesday night (7.45pm).
The game had to be postponed on Saturday as the pitch was waterlogged, but the ground then hosted Halifax RLFC’s game with Whitehaven on Sunday.
Some rain is forecast on Tuesday evening, after which Wednesday is expected to be a mostly dry and sunny day.
Should the game be postponed again though, it is expected to take place on Tuesday, February 16.
The winners are at home to Neil Aspin’s Gateshead in the quarter-finals on February 27.
