FC Halifax Town: Shaymen given funding for community work

FC Halifax Town have been given further funding from the National League Trust for their work in the community.

The club have been awarded £70,000 by the trust over the past four years, and their latest donation could total up to £25,000, which will go towards coaching local children at football, developing a teacher training programme for PE and their new Shay Tots project aimed at increasing toddlers’ participation in sport.

The club’s community programme works with over 300 players every week aged between 13 months to the youth team players aged between 17 to 19.
