FC Halifax Town: Skipper Brown signs new deal

FC Halifax Town captain Matty Brown has signed a new two-year contract at the club.

Brown, 28, joined Town from Chester in 2015 and has played 39 games for the club this season, scoring four goals.

Brown has recovered from numerous injuries to be a vital part of this season’s team, producing a series of excellent individual performances at the heart of the Halifax defence.

He joins the likes of Sam Johnson, Michael Collins, Jake Hibbs and Scott Garner in being contracted for next season at the club.
