Chorley v Halifax. James Dean and Simon Ainge challenge for the ball.

Former FC Halifax Town captain Mark Bower’s Guiseley travel to ex-Shaymen striker James Dean’s Chorley on Saturday in the play-off final of the Conference North.

Guiseley, who have former Halifax skipper Danny Lowe, Ryan Toulson and Alex Johnson in their squad, knocked out AFC Fylde in their semi-final while Chorley overcame Boston United.

Dean has scored 20 goals in the league for Chorley this season, but was sent-off in their 5-0 defeat at Halifax in the FA Cup.

Whoever wins will join Barrow in gaining promotion from the division to the Conference and ensuring at least one Town legend a return to the Shay next season.
