Former Town player Cox sacked by Guiseley

Ex-Halifax player Paul Cox has been sacked by Town's National League neighbours Guiseley after just five months in charge.

Cox took over on 4 September but won just three league games and Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat by Gateshead was a sixth successive loss, leaving them rock-bottom of the table with 22 points - 10 adrift of safety.

Guiseley host Halifax at Nethermoor on March 17.
