Hardy released by Town

Right-sided defender Aaron Hardy is on the search for a new club after FC Halifax Town decided not to renew his contract after a three-year association with the Shaymen.

Hardy was a pivotal figure during Town’s two successive promotions, but did not feature towards the end of the last campaign where Ryan Toulson was manager Neil Aspin’s preferred choice at right back.

The 26-year-old Hardy, who started his career at Huddersfield Town, was one of a number of players Aspin brought with him from previous club Harrogate Town in 2009.
