FC Halifax Town boss Neil Aspin says Danny Lowe will require a knee operation but that Matt Pearson could return to the side for Saturday’s game agianst Woking at the Shay.
The Shaymen have been hit by a series of injuries over the past few weeks and are currently without Lowe, Pearson, Lee Gregory, Marc Roberts and Ryan Toulson.
Aspin confirmed after the West Riding County Cup defeat at Harrogate that Pearson may be in contention to plsy st the weekend, but the other absentees will be unavailable for a while yet.
He said: “Ryan Toulson’s had his operation so he’s got a fairly long road to recovery. He will make progress but it’ll take a long time.
“Lee Gregory had his operation last week as well so again we’ve got to wait for those two bones to heal before he can be considered.
“Marc Roberts is making progress, Matty Pearson, who went off on Saturday, has had a scan on his knee and he hasn’t got a break so that’s good news and we’ll have to see if he’s available for Saturday.
“But the most disappointing news is that Danny Lowe requires an operation and he’s going to be out for a while, so we are suffering at the momernt but we just have to get on with it.
“We can’t use it as an excuse and we can’t use it to feel sorry for ourselves. We’ve got a difficult month ahead and we’ve all got to stick together.
“Players who come in have got to raise their game and the supporters have got to give the team as much backing as they can.”
