Salford the bookies’ favourites for National League title

Newly-promoted Salford are the bookies’ favourites to win the National League.

Graham Alexander’s side are 5/1 to win the title and have strengthened their squad with some impressive signings over the summer, including strikers Ashley Hemmings from Boston and Rory Gaffney from Bristol Rovers, plus midfielder Danny Whitehead from Macclesfield and expreienced defender Nathan Pond from Fleetwood.

Recently-relegated Chesterfield are 7/1 second favourites. They have experienced boss Martin Allen in charge and have signed the likes of midfielders Sam Wedgbury from Wrexham and Charlie Carter from Woking, and defender Will Evans from Aldershot.

Also among the contenders are Barnet at 12/1, Fylde at 14/1 and Leyton Orient at 14/1. Halifax are priced at 33/1.
