Fans of FC Halifax Town are being asked to lend a hand ahead of the club’s FA Trophy quarter-final with Dartford.

Five inches of snow have fallen on the pitch during the big freeze across Calderdale and Town supporters are now being urged to help clear the surface and ensure Saturday’s game goes ahead.

Fans are asked to turn up at 9am on Wednesday, with a shovel if they have one, and spare any time they can.

The Shaymen are two rounds from Wembley and will be keen to avoid another postponement with an already packed schedule.
