FC Halifax Town have announced their FA Trophy replay against Dartford will be played at Droylsden’s Butchers Arms ground on Saturday (3pm).

In a statement on the club’s website, Town say Calderdale Council could not guarantee the game could go ahead at the Shay, prompting the switch to Droylsden as the FA are “extremely keen” for the game to be played.

The club have apologised for the move and say they are confident it will go ahead at Droylsden unless there is some extremely heavy rain or snow.

It is not the first time Town have had to play a home game away from The Shay, having staged a 0-0 draw with Stalybridge at Rochdale in February 2013.
