Neil Aspin is expecting another tough game tonight

Neil Aspin says his side will face another tough game tonight as they take on a second team from the Championship in five days.

On Saturday Town beat Blackburn Rovers reserve side 3-1 at the Shay.

Tonight they face fellow Lancashire side Bolton Wanderers, who will also send a development squad.

And Aspin wants to follow the Rovers result up with another victory with the start of the season just ten days away.

“There would be something wrong if professional clubs can’t come here and give you a game, irrespective of which eleven they put out,” he said.

“They’re representing football league clubs so it will be a tough game.

“We will change the team around again and have different personnel because the result is not everything, but we want to give a good performance,” he said.

The game kicks off tonight at 7.45pm.

Town will play the game without giant defender Ben Futcher, who has been appointed temporary assistant manager at parent club Bury.
