FC Halifax Town will be aiming to turn their recent run of draws into a win at Altrincham on Saturday (3pm) as the race for the play-offs enters the home straight.
Town have been impressive in recent draws with Aldershot, Bristol Rovers and Barnet but have lost ground in the clamour for the top-five.
Halifax have two games in hand over fifth-placed Forest Green but can’t now catch them if they win both matches.
The Shaymen have failed to win in their last six games
Town boss Neil Aspin is expected to have a fully-fit squad to choose from for the trip to Moss Lane and could name an unchanged line-up for the third successive match.
Altrincham are currently 16th in the table and have the joint-third worst defensive record in the division.
The Robins are one of only three teams to have won at the Shay in the league this season and have the division’s fourth top-scorer in 16-goal Damien Reeves.
Aspin is expecting Reeves to return to the team after he was named on the bench in Altrincham’s 2-1 defeat at Dover on Tuesday.
A win on Saturday could lift Halifax up to seventh in the Conference while victory could lift Altrincham up to 14th.
