FC Halifax Town host fellow promotion chasers Brackley at the Shay on Saturday (3pm kick-off) knowing a win will leave them three points off third place.
After a game-free midweek following the postponement of Tuesday night’s game against Corby, Saturday’s match starts another hectic spell of fixtures for The Shaymen, who will play 11 matches over the next four weeks.
Neil Aspin’s side go into the game on the back of seven wins from their last nine matches in all competitions.
While Town enjoyed a rare Tuesday night off, Brackley drew 0-0 at Workington, leaving them without a win or a goal in their last three games.
However, The Saints had enjoyed a four-match winning run before that, including a 2-0 victory at Guiseley.
Manager Jon Brady has been in charge at St James’ Park since 2009 after a playing career mostly spent on the fringes of the Football League, most notably with Rushden and Diamonds.
He guided the club to promotion last season when they won the Southern League Premier Division title by eight points.
Striker Stephen Diggin is the club’s top scorer with 11 league goals and won last season’s supporters player of the year award after a successful first season following his transfer from Corby.
