Supporters team AFC Halifax and Macmillan Cancer Support are giving FC Halifax fans the chance to play on The Shay pitch at a special football tournament.
On Saturday, May 16, the six-team competition and family fun day will be raising funds for the cancer charity.
The tournament will consist of two AFC Halifax teams, a Macmillan Cancer Support team, a team of all stars, a team of Bury FC fans and a team of FC Halifax Town fans, which will include ex-Town players Steve Payne, Paul Sykes and Neil Ross.
There will also be a four-team under 11 junior tournament featuring teams from AFC Halifax, St Columbas, Halifax Irish and Warley Rangers.
There will also be face painting, a bouncy castle, children’s games and a children’s penalty shoot-out at the event, which starts at 9am.
Entrance is free, but there will be Macmillan collectors at the entrance willing to accept any donations.
Programmes will be available to purchase and which will include a free ticket entry to a cash draw to be drawn on the day. Food and drink will also be available to purchase all day, and the event will be fully stewarded.
If you would like to play in the FC Halifax Town fans team the cost is £30 per player, with all the money going directly to Macmillan Cancer Support. Players can be any age, gender and ability.
