Andy Gascoigne scored for the third successive league match as Harrogate Town were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Leamington.

Gascoigne gave Town a first half lead after scoring from a free-kick.

However, Leamington hit back after the break and Danny Newton equalised on the 54th minute.

The point leaves Town 14th, with 34 points to show from 29 games.

Meanwhile, Harrogate Railway were also held to a 1-1 draw in their visit to bottom of the league Padiham.

Jerry Yates gave Railway the lead on his debut after reacting first to the goalkeeper’s attempts to save Fatlum Ibrahimi’s free-kick.

The young attacker was only registered at Railway in mid-week after joining from Rotherham United.

Padiham levelled matters in the second half when former Southampton and Leeds United forward Brett Ormerod struck home a penalty.

Knaresborough Town were unable to depose NCEL Division One leaders AFC Emley as they went down 3-0 away.

Knaresborough’s reserves edged to a 1-0 triumph at Hunslet Club to move up to seventh in West Yorkshire Premier - with Ben Lock scoring the only goal.

Meanwhile, Wetherby Athletic continued their fine run of form to move inside the top five.

Athletic secured a fifth straight win with a 4-2 success at struggling Brighouse Old Boys.
