Former FC Halifax Town midfielder Danny Schofield has taken charge of Championship side Huddersfield after the shock resignation of Carlos Corberán.

Corberán quit today (Thursday) after leading the club to the play-off final last season, and The Terriers have moved quickly to place former Huddersfield player Schofield in charge.

Schofield, 42, made 35 appearances for Halifax during the 2014-15 season under Neil Aspin.
