The 21-year-old was released by Conference North outfit Tamworth at the end of last season, despite scoring seven goals in 25 appearances.

He began his career under Dario Gradi at Crewe when he made his profressional debut as a second half substitute against Hartlepool United in the League Cup in August 2012.

After scoring once in ten appearances for the Alex, Daniels was sent on loan to Chester for a short loan spell.

He made that move permanent in May 2013 following his release from Crewe but only played three matches at The Exacta Stadium before signing for Tamworth in August last year.

Signing at the CNG Stadium, Daniels will compete for a starting berth in Town’s attacking options alongside fellow youngsters Jack Emmett and Jordan Thewlis.

Daniels becomes Simon Weaver’s third signing of the summer after Paul Beesley and Paul Thirlwell.
