HALIFAX Town boss Neil Aspin has boosted his squad ahead of the Shay clash with Harrogate Town this afternoon by signing striker Aron Wint on a month’s loan from League One Scunthorpe United.
The 19-year-old frontman will go straight into the squad for the Yorkshire derby with Aspin’s former club, effectively replacing Cameron Darkwah who is suspended.
Coventry-born Wint began his career as a junior with his hometown club before being released.
The 6’1” striker joined Scunthorpe and spent two years as a trainee at Glanford Park before being offered a professional contract and he has been a regular in their reserve team.
He has also had a spell on loan at Belper Town late last year, making three appearances before being recalled due to injuries at Scunthorpe.
He has yet to appear in the League for The Iron.
