York City have sacked manager Neal Ardley after 34 games in charge, with The Minstermen just above the relegation zone.

York are just one point and one place above the bottom four and have played a game more, and lost 2-0 at Barnet on Saturday.

He leaves the club with 10 victories, 14 draws and 10 defeats in all competitions.

Ardley has previously been in charge of Notts County and Solihull in the National League.
