Ovenden through to second final
They beat Huddersfield YMCA 2-0 away to earn a meeting with Campion in the West Riding County Amateur League’s Premier Division Cup final at Storthes Hall on Saturday, May 16 (2.30).
Second half goals from Andy Bailey and Jordan Coduri did the trick as the Halifax side set up a repeat of last season’s final, which Ovenden won.

Hide AdDanny Megson’s side are also looking to hang on to the Halifax FA Saturday Cup. They meet Brighouse Town in the final of that competition at The Shay on Thursday, May 7.
Meanwhile, there were four Haslem-Sheppard Halifax AFL games last night.
Hebden Royd Red Star regained fourth place in the Premier from neighbours Calder ‘76 with a 2-2 draw at home to Shelf United.
Denholme United maintained their good run in Division One with a 2-1 win away to Elland Allstars while AFC Crossleys are back up to third after a 7-2 win over a Volunteer Arms side now leaking goals at an alarming rate.
