The leaders were trailing 2-1 at Clifton Rangers last Sunday when a huge chance was squandered by the hosts to extend the lead, and that was enough of a warning for the table toppers and they quickly got their act together to steal the three points.

Hounds have struggled just to get games on this season. However, the two sides did face off back in November; goals from Jordan Coduri and Leon Hurles-Brook secured the win for Cock & Bottle.

Linthwaite are looking the most likely side if anyone is to catch the runaway leaders, but they have also struggled like many to get games on recently.

They face Mirfield Town this weekend. The two sides have yet to battle it out this season, but if recent years gone by are anything to go off then it should be a great game between two very strong sides.

Mirfield are also in a relegation fight. But this however is predominantly because they have only managed to get one game on at home. That was their only win of the season, whilst not managing to get a single point on the road yet is not ideal, it will be their home form that will decide their Premier Division status.

Feathers look to build on their solid start to the season when they face Deighton WMC. They will need their joint top scorers Joel Clearly and Thomas Hosker to be in form for the second part of the season if they are to challenge towards the top.

Clifton Rangers will host Hollins Holme in the other game in the division. They have proven in their games against FC Panda and Cock & Bottle that they can mix it with the big clubs in this league. Now it’s a matter of consistency for them, but if Jake Waterson can continue his form in front of goal then they could quickly ease any relegation concerns.

Division One leaders Ravenswharfe will head to Rastrick to face Cock of the North full of confidence after their resounding win last Sunday.

The hosts have gone four games without a win and will need to end that run if they are to close up on the promotion places, but Ravenswharfe have won eight on the bounce in the league and won’t be willing to relinquish the top spot that easily.

Lee Mount return to league action this weekend following their success in the Andy’s Man Club League Cup. The treble is very much still on for the Halifax club as they look to close up on the leaders.

They’ll host Wire Works who have had a very patchy season to date. They’re not quite in trouble at the bottom yet, but with games in hand for those below them, they could quickly find themselves needing some points.

FC Panda Reserves head to Park FC in a game that both sides will feel they need to win to keep their promotion ambitions alive. Neither side has been in form lately but a great chance for both to get the win and kick start their campaign again.

Struggling Thrum Hall will try to build on their penalty shootout success from last Sunday when they go in search of their first points of the season. They’ll face Woodhouse at Savile Park, while Wellington Westgate host struggling Snowdon.

Spen FC claimed top spot back in Division Two whilst other sides featured in the cup. This weekend they’ll be huge favourites to take the spoils against pointless Inter Batley.

In-form Sands Lane will host Clifton Rangers Reserves at the weekend. They had gone six games without defeat before a slip up against Battyeford at home. Dominic Howarth remains their dangerman with being the only player in double figures for the season, netting 19 in 17 games. them leap them into that top three.

Barum Top are at home to an unpredictable Battyeford, while Triangle will host Halifax Rangers at Savile Park and Clifton Rangers Athletic looks to keep their turnaround going when they face Old Post Office at Deighton Sports Arena.
