Town midfielder linked to Chesterfield switch

Town's Matty Kosylo has been linked with a move to Football League club Chesterfield.

Kosylo scored 12 goals in 34 appearances this season for Halifax, and appears to have caught the attention of Chesterfield boss Gary Caldwell, who was at both legs of Halifax’s play-off semi-final against Salford and the final against Chorley.

But Kosylo is contracted to next summer and would command a fee.

Chesterfield, who have former Halifax playmaker Dan Gardner in their squad, were relegated from League One this season, finishing bottom of the league.

At least one other Halifax player is also thought to be on the Spireites’ radar.
