They came from a goal down to make it two successes on their travels in five days following Tuesday’s 4-3 win at Clitheroe.

Alex Newby gave Kendal a 16th minute lead and it remained that way until after boss Paul Quinn had introduced Sam Hewlitt and Connah Judson just after the break.

Tom Robinson made it 1-1, shrugging off a defender and lobbing the ‘keeper on 52 minutes.

Brighouse hit the front with 17 minutes left when Ernest Boafo headed home from five yards following a corner.

Robinson ensured Brighouse’s seventh away win of the season when he nodded in following fine work from Danny Facey on 84 minutes.

Quinn’s men remain 14th but can finish at least a couple of places higher with wins in their final two games at Hove Edge.

They play the teams immediately above them in the table, Bamber Bridge on Monday and Mossley next Saturday.
