Queens Head are the only team to beat Waiters this season, but could not produce a repeat performance against Adam Fenton’s side, who remain on course for a treble of league, Briigs Priestley Cup and Eddie Hebblethwaite Cup.

It took Waiters just 15 minutes to break the deadlock with a Carl Maguire cross evading everyone and nestling in the corner. It was soon two when Maguire hit another cross-shot which deceived Craig Chew in the Queens goal.

Queens then pulled one back when George Turner flicked on a throw in for Simon Coffey to glance home from close range. Waiters turned the screw a bit then just before the break and raced into a 6-1 lead.

Queens battled well in the second half but Billy Grogan and Tynan increased the score to 8-1. Reece Uttley captalised on some poor Quuens defending to add a ninth before he then turned provider for Maguire to make it 10 with a tap in.

The last 10 minutes saw Waiters grab a couple more with Chappell netting again with a fine solo effort and Kev Talbot rounding off the scoring.

Second-placed Halifax Hammers recorded a thrashing of their own by beating basement side Top Club 14-0, while Feathers beat Barge 2-1.
