The point represents a satisfying few days for The Shaymen after their win at Bromley on Saturday.

"I thought we looked strong, I thought we looked hard to beat, I never thought once that they got into areas to hurt us," Wild said.

"And I thought, coming towards the end of the game, there was only one team going to win it.

"The clean sheet is a massive positive, we looked like the only team that was going to win but we also looked solid and hard to beat, and after such a physically tough game on Saturday, to back that up with another physically tough game tonight, I think the lads deserve a lot of credit.

"That's three away games in January that we're unbeaten, and we've taken five points from.

"That's really pleasing."

Town finished the much stronger side, and could have won it with a bit more luck inside the Wrexham box.

"We looked athletic, we looked strong, we look like we've got more in the tank all the time, which is credit to our fitness department for the way they're producing the boys," Wild said.

"We've got to wrap them in cotton wool and hopefully we can get another gig out of them on Saturday."

Reflecting on Town's last two games, Wild said: "I think it shows the lads are maturing well, I think it shows that recruitment was spot on, and I think it shows the players are buying into what we're telling them, in terms of analysis, what we're telling them they're going to come up against, they're coming up against.

"They're dealing with the problems, they're listening to what we want from them and being hard to beat on the road is tough, and I think we are hard to beat on the road at the moment.

"The four days have been pleasing. We got pumped at Bromley last year and we got beat here last year, and this year we've got four points.

"It shows progression. It's a point on the road and any points on the road are important."

Unusually, Wild didn't make any substitutions in the game.

"I just thought with the pace of the game, it didn't need changing," he said.

"I thought the lads were dealing with what was going on, and sometimes when you make subs in games like that, one switch and you're not sure who your man is or you're trying to get up to the pace of the game - I just felt it didn't need changing."
