"Things are looking up after a terrible start" - Yeovil Town v FC Halifax Town: Opposition Focus
We spoke to Sheridan Robins from BBC Radio Somerset for the lowdown on FC Halifax Town's opponents on Saturday.
Shaymen
Still no Jesse Debrah for Town, but vital that Festus Arthur is available to plug the gap left by the suspended Jack Hunter. Town would have been struggling massively without him and probably would have had to change to a back four. Harker stays in ahead of Mani, big call but probably deserved. Harker needs to take his chance though.
Reliably informed Yeovil will be three at the back. Could well mirror Town’s 3-4-2-1 in fact
Smith, Williams, Bevan, Hunt, Johnson, Staunton, Worthington, Reckord, Andrews, Oluwabori. Fisher. Subs: Buse, D'Ath, Georgiou, Britton, Linton.
Shaymen
Festus Arthur returns in place of the suspended Jack Hunter - 1st appearance for almost a month (since 2-1 win v Oldham on Oct 29). Jordan Keane back on the bench - his last appearance was nearly 2 months ago (1-0 win v York on Oct 4). Harker keeps his place ahead of Dierseruvwe
Johnson, Arthur, Stott, Senior, Golden, Summerfield, Gilmour, Capello, Cooke, Spence, Harker. Subs: Scott, Dierseruvwe, Warburton, Minihan, Keane
ICYMI - Calderdale Council issued a response this week after Town’s home game with Dorking was postponed again
Calderdale Council issue response after FC Halifax Town's home game with Dorking is postponed again
Calderdale Council say they are exploring “longer-term options” with FC Halifax Town and Halifax Panthers over The Shay pitch after another postponement this week.
Line up
Team news at 2pm - would expect minimal changes. Will Dierseruvwe come back in for Harker? Be harsh to drop last week’s match winner. Will the formation stay as 3-4-2-1? I would have thought so, it’s working well at the moment so why change it? There’ll be at least one change as Jack Hunter is suspended. Would hope Jesse Debrah is fit enough to return in his place. We’ll see.
