Parry carded a six-under 66 in the fourth round to finish tied for fifth place and just three shots shy of leading pair George Coetzee and Dane Thorbjorn Olesen.

Parry made an ideal start to his week with a five-under par 67, before steady rounds of 70 and 71 put him in contention for a top ten finish heading into Sunday’s round.

An eagle on the seventh kick-started a flawless final round, leaving him with a share of fifth alongside Australian Scott Hend and Japan’s Masahiro Kawamura.

After an indifferent 2014, which required the 28-year-old to reclaim his Tour card through qualifying school, Parry has hit the ground running in 2015 and returned to the world’s top 500.

His performance in Mauritius was his second top ten of the season, after finishing tied-sixth at the Africa Open in March.

The last time he finished in the top five was the 2013 Welsh Open, when he finished fourth.
